Analog Reviews

Write without changes. Take a feeling, a positive one, and just run with it. That was the mission of this project, and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

We get caught up with our editors, both internal and external, and we second guess. Even on this blog, I go back and edit old posts on occasion, always trying to make things more clear or adding something that just occurred to me.

This takes that restriction – and it is a restriction – away, and the result is much more authentic. Messy, but authentic. I also had a lot of fun taking the pictures, as did a few of the recipients.

Next up:

  • Send at least two every week through the end of the year.
  • Add other reviews. profiles?
  • Create a mobile writing experience for outdoor events (when it cools off).

Trying out something new: Analog @facebook friend requests. They're like cover letters for a platonic relationship.
