This is my @orlandofringe ring. Back in 1993, the Orlando Fringe was held in and around Church Street. Downtown Orlando was one of the most popular spots around, before the theme parks and suburbs and city ordinances drew and pushed people away.
I had no idea what Fringe was. I didn't even live in Orlando yet. A fellow student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University suggested a roadtrip to check it out. I was not a spontaneous nor exploratory person at the time, so I said, "No thanks!" He wore me down, and I'm grateful for it. I bought the ring as an artifact of that night, and I found it in time for this year's Fringe. I'll be wearing it to every show, and whenever I'm at the Fringe Feels table.
To a Certain Degree presents Fringe Feels! Write a thank you note to the artists, volunteers, and staff who make the @orlandofringe one of the best events in the world (I said it, the world). I'll be in the @orlandorep lobby for nine Fringe nights with typewriters, paper, and drawing utensils. ALL FREE! Click the link in the bio for more info, and let me know if you want to donate time or paper!
#TBT, TACD donuts. Liz of @orlan_dough brought in these beauties to the @wprk studios, and I'm still dreaming of them.
Luckily, she'll be at @hourglassbrewing this Sunday, @kellyshomemadeicecream on Fern Creek next Tuesday, with appearances at @theheavywp and @alacartorlando soon after that.
Listen to her interview while en route to deliciousness!
