Happy Mini-art Monday! What is Mini-art Monday? …Well, I've been inspired to create from-the-heart, mini-art pieces, designed to a balanced size where I'm able to make one each day of the week, and then present them the following week, at a very affordable price. Last week I created these five new abstract beauties. Why on MONDAY? … Let's start the week on a high note! Art is meant to uplift and inspire, and above all else bring joy. I'm having a blast creating these. Stay tuned…my goal is to have a new set each Monday. Start your collection today. You can find these and other items for sale on my new Store. This target has been on my list of objects to photograph for quite some time and finally had the clears skies to do it justice. The Witch Head nebula is a very faint reflection nebula in the constellation Eridanus the river at around 900 light years away. Rigel, the nearby supergiant star illuminates the cloud thought to be a supernova remnant from a very large old star. The universe never wastes however as protostars have been discovered forming inside the cloud. This image was created by taking 60, 6 minute exposures for 360 minutes of total exposure time. Equipment used were a cooled Canon 6D camera, a 100-400mm LII lens at 135mm and a Orion Atlas mount. Taken at the Chiefland Astronomy Village in Florida.
